Step 1: Prepare Tools & Get in Position
Tools: Find a ruler with millimeter (mm) markings (if you don’t have one, search for "online mm ruler" on your phone and print it out);
2. Posture: Sit in front of the mirror, about 30 centimeters away. Keep your head straight, look directly at the mirror, and don’t tilt or lower your head.
Step 2: Align the Starting Point & Start Measuring
1. Place the ruler horizontally against the bridge of your nose, making sure the scale is clearly visible in the mirror;
2. First, find the center of your right pupil (the middle of the black part of the eye). Align the "0mm" mark of the ruler exactly with this point and hold the ruler still.
Step 3: Read the Value & Confirm Repeatedly
1. Keep looking straight ahead, find the center of your left pupil, and read the corresponding millimeter number on the ruler—this is your PD;
2. Repeat the measurement 2-3 times and take the average of the results (for example, if it’s 62mm the first time and 63mm the se cond, take 62.5mm) to avoid errors.
